TRUE's Baron Brindle Ace of Spades crossed over the rainbow bridge on Thursday,
September 28th, at his home. He was born June 14, 1999 in Butler, PA under the watchful eye of
his doting father, Garry Lanzalotto. He is the son of L&B's Red Bird's Jane Eyre and
L&B's Just Playin It Cool. He was a CH Pinepath Nightwatch great-grandson and a grandson
of CH Hi-Tech's Arbitrage. Baron had been health tested and passed.
At the age of 9 weeks, he was adopted as a pet by TRUE Boxers' Troy and Sue Christman. Due to
his pedigree, he debuted in the show ring at 6 months old and was retired at 2 years old to a
life of leisure. He had 12 weeks of obedience training where he graduated at the head of his
class. His primary duties at home were: official greeter, watch dog, grocery escort, garden
vegetable inspector, dinner bell, treat jar guardian, squirrel chaser and couch potato. His
favorite shows were CSI and Westminster, but only if the Working Group was in the ring. His
nicknames were "Bubba" and "Big Man".
Baron's stunning, rich reverse brindle coloration and deep black mask drew the attention
of all who passed. The signature u-turn welcome was the ice breaker and he is accredited for
curing many people who had a fear of large dogs. His soft and even temperament embodied the
boxer standard to the letter. He was an avid lover of children. He helped train 3 litters of
puppies throughout his fulfilled life.
He is survived by 5 of his 6 children- Sassy of TRUE Boxers, Angle (WV), Titan (PA), Daphne
(AL), Dempsey (NC); the mother of his children, TRUE'S PRO WIsh Upon A Star; and his two
adopted children, Tango and Elektra and several puppies from a different breeding. He is
preceded in death by both his parents who lived long healthy lives, and his one daughter,
Phoenix, who died in a tragic car accident at the age of 1.
He was laid to rest on his beloved Granny and Papaw Christman's farm in Stafford OH where he
spent many long lazy summer days swimming in their pool and going on big adventures. He is
peacefully resting beside his mentor and partner in crime, Lafemme Nikita, aka: Nikki, who
died in 2005, and several past Christman family Boxers.
His loud bark and loving disposition will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched and
enriched. He will forever live in the hearts of his Mommy and Daddy who worshipped the ground
he walked on. He lives on through his children and the grandchildren given by TRUE's Perfect
Symphony this past spring.
Rest in peace, Big Man. Rest in
Peace. |
